SEMESTRAL 1 OUTING |

Eden School's first semestral outing of the year for 2012 was held on the 19th of April. The students were divided into 2 groups, one went to Xplorerkid at E!Hub Downtown East, the other visited the Underwater World & Dolphin Lagoon at Sentosa.

In conjunction with World Autism Awareness Day, Duke-NUS Medical School, in collaboration with Autism Association (S), Autism Resource Centre (S), Rainbow Centre, St. Andrew’s Autism Centre, organised a seminar for healthcare professionals and caregivers.

ARC LAUNCHES EMPLOYABILITY AND EMPLOYMENT CENTRE FOR ADULTS WITH AUTISM |
 The Autism Resource Centre (ARC) has officially launched the Employability and Employment Centre (E2C) - an employment service that is the first of its kind in Singapore for adults with autism.
The E2C aims to equip suitable adults with autism with employable skills through training and emplace them in suitable jobs with appropriate job support.

PARENT COMMUNICATION NIGHT |

Miss Tan Wee Lim, the new Principal of Eden School shared with the parents and staff, the 2 key focus for the Parent Communication Night. A total of 27 new teaching and support staff, and 6 Youth For Autism (YFA) were introduced to the audience. The student enrolment had increased to 213.

With your support, Eden's enrolment will reach 220 by the end of March 2012! About 35% of our students are from families earning below average incomes. Some in fact are from very needy backgrounds. The School subsidizes their school fees and works with donors to fund additional expenses suchas uniforms, transport and enrichment programmes. Our very caring donors also provide ang pows and goodie bags during festive celebrations, as well as bursaries at the end of the year.
