GEARING UP FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS 2013 |

Eden School is participating in Special Olympics 2013 and 12 students are representing the School in 3 events this year: Athletics, Bocce & Swimming. The Special Olympics spirit is in the air. The games have started with the Athletics Divisioning on 4 May and the Opening Ceremony Rehearsal on 15 May. Come and cheer for our athletes!

SINGTEL TOUCHING LIVES FUND MOVIE SCREENING & CHEQUE PRESENTATION |

Eden School is one of the six beneficiary recipients from Singtel Touching Lives Funds, under the Community Chest Funds. A group of our students was hence invited to a free movie screening and cheque presentation ceremony at the SingTel Headquarters on 13 March 2013.

Eden School participated in a series of events during World Autism Awareness Week from 2nd to 8th April 2013, in support of raising autism awareness and advocating for the autism community. A BIG THANK YOU to all who have helped, participated, cheered, and joined in the celebration, in one ways or another, during this meaningful week, all for the cause of raising autism awareness. See you again next year!

PARENT COMMUNICATION & LEARNING NIGHT 1 |

The first Parent Communication and Learning Night of the year took place on 15th March. The emcees for the night were Teacher Ruzanna and Syahmi from Fullerton class. They sparkled throughout the evening, captivating the audience with their words and introductions.

EDENITES PERFORM AT GALA CHARITY DINNER |

Five Edenites were invited to perform at a charity dinner organised by Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong). They delivered their own rendition of Celine Dion's powerful ballad entitled "Because You Loved Me". It was encouraging to see guests and fellow performers enjoy themselves during the event.

CNY CELEBRATIONS |

Amid blazes and flashes of red, celebrations to usher in the year of the snake filled the atmosphere of Eden School on February 8th, where students and staff were treated to a variety of performances in the school hall.

The Rotary Club (Suntec City) invited 20 students and their families to meet Kai Kai and Jia Jia at the Giant Panda Preview at the Singapore Zoo on 8 November 2012. In support of our Dads for Life programme, many fathers also turned up for a fun morning with their children.

AAS ANNUAL ADDRESS |

The first major event in the school calendar for 2013 kicked off with the second annual address by the Autism Association (Singapore) on 11th January (Friday). Prior to the address, staff members were treated to a buffet spread which was enjoyed by all before heading up for the address proper.

FATHERS@SCHOOL DAY CAMP |

29 November 2012 was our annual Dads@School Day Camp. The aim of the day camp is to provide a chance and platform for father and child to bond over fun and enriching activities. 2012 was the first time Eden School collaborated with the Scouts Group from Swiss Cottage Secondary School in the hopes of giving our children a taste of what scouts do and go through.

EDEN SCHOOL BASED ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS AND GRADUATION CEREMONY 2012 |

The 3rd Eden School Based Awards Ceremony was held on 12 November 2012. The annual award ceremony is to recognize the progress and improvements our students have made for the year in study.
|
|
|
|
With your support, Eden's enrolment has reached 245 this January 2013! About 35% of our students are from families earning below average incomes. Some in fact are from very needy backgrounds. The School subsidizes their school fees and works with donors to fund additional expenses such as transport and enrichment programmes. Our very caring donors also provide ang pows and goodie bags during festive celebrations, as well as bursaries twice yearly.
