Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)
The CCA Programme is an hourly programme held on Tuesdays. Basketball, Athletics and Music & Movement are held in the morning whilst Inline Skating, Kitchen, Art & Crafts, Percussion, Swimming and Baking are held in the afternoon.
Through the CCA Programme, the school aims to provide opportunities to develop the students’ talents and interests, as well as equip them with meaningful and age-appropriate leisure skills which they can share and enjoy with their family members.
A total of 60 students currently take part in the programme. CCA was first started as the ASSIST Programme in 2006 with teachers conducting the classes. Over time, with feedback from both staff and parents, students were put through a modular programme in 2008 and 2009 to assess their interest and ability in the various CCAs.
To enhance the quality of the programmes, external vendors with expertise in teaching students with special needs were engaged to conduct the programmes. Regular feedback is obtained from the staff supporting the programmes. The school will continue to source for and expand the range of CCAs.
