This year’s World Autism Awareness (Singapore) 2015 Public Showcase held on 22 May reached the heartlands of Singapore with an amazing programme to celebrate talents and abilities through music and dance performances. There were also special art exhibits and talented students/clients with autism drawing ‘live’ onsite under the big shelter of the Ang Mo Kio Central Stage.
Eden School presented 3 energetic performances.
First was the highly energetic medley dance performance by students Firah, Xu Ting and Zulkhairi together with teachers Rose and Kimberly and dance instructor Derrick. The students demonstrated multiple dance styles, and captured the attention of passing heartlanders who stopped to enjoy their performance.
Next was student Luo Mang who performed a very elegant Chinese Dance item to the catchy Chinese tune of Xin Chun Cha (新春茶). Luo Mang performs regularly in public and has won 2 Awards in an international dance competition held in Hong Kong in December 2014.
Last but not least was the teacher duo of Jude and Migs who crooned 2 acoustic rendition love ballads (“All to Me” and “Summer Breeze”) to capture the hearts of the audience young and old.
World Autism Awareness (Singapore) 2015 would always be an event dear to our hearts. It aims to raise autism awareness and support. We look excitedly to AA(S) 2016.
