Singtel Touching Lives Fund Movie Screening & Cheque Presentation

Eden School is one of the six beneficiary recipients of the Singtel Touching Lives Funds, under the Community Chest Funds. A group of Eden students and staff was invited to a lunch treat, a movie screening and cheque presentation ceremony. It was held at the Singtel Comcentre on 23 March 2016.

Besides lunch, the students were also treated to ice cream, popcorn and candy floss. They exercised their communication skills in requesting for the snacks and waiting skills as they queued orderly at the push carts. The students interacted with their peers, asking whether they were full from lunch and that the snacks were delicious.

Everyone then proceeded into the auditorium for the movie screening of ‘Hotel Transylvania 2’. The students enjoyed the movie as they laughed along to the different scenes and grooved to the music. They were very engaged in this hour and a half long movie.

The cheque presentation ceremony followed shortly after the movie screening. The Singtel Group CEO, Ms Chua Sock Koong presented a cheque of S$3 million to Mr Philip Tan, Chairman of Community Chest. He received the donation on behalf of all the six beneficiary Social Service Organisation as everyone applauded and cheered along. It was yet another memorable participation for Eden students and staff as they witnessed this ‘touching lives’ moment.
