Semestral Outing To Jurong Bird Park And Singapore Discovery Centre

As part of Children’s Day celebrations, Eden School organized a school wide outing to The Singapore Discovery Centre and Jurong Bird Park on 4th October, 2012.

At the Singapore Discovery Centre…

The students, together with their friends, families and teachers, had an enjoyable time, exploring the themed portals in the Centre, learning about Singapore’s different racial cultural dances (Malay, Indian and Chinese) and the meaning behind the different festivities in Singapore. They had the most fun by taking photographs throughout the outing, leaving behind beautiful memories of this special trip.

The focal point of the outing was the movie screening of "Wa is for Wayang".  Students geared up with jackets and light snacks to enjoy the movie about an Indian boy who took up the challenge and learnt Chinese Opera.

At the Jurong Bird Park…

The children and their families had a splendid time viewing the many fascinating exhibits and vibrant birds at the park. They were treated to the sights of the magnificent Macaws, the adorable tuxedoed friends (the penguins!) and the glorious crimson reds of the Scarlet Ibis.

The highlight of the visit was the spectacular performance put up by our feathered friends at the Birds n Buddies Show! It was a delight seeing the birds perform incredible stunts and sensational fly-bys close to the audience.

Everybody had a great time and we look forward to a wonderful outing come 2013!
