29 November 2012 was our annual Dads@School Day Camp. The aim of the day camp is to provide a chance and platform for father and child to bond over fun and enriching activities. 2012 was the first time Eden School collaborated with the Scouts Group from Swiss Cottage Secondary School in the hopes of giving our children a taste of what scouts do and go through.
A total of 15 students together with their fathers attended the day camp. A list of interesting activities was planned for the day! The students went through activities such as making pizza bread, potato salad, chocolate and also decorating gingerbread man cookies. All activities were completed through the aid of visual instructions. On top of that, students also went through the experience of staying in tents, decorating the tents and enjoying a “campfire”. Everyone had a wonderful time playing with musical chairs, puzzle games and parachute games at the “campfire”!
It was a fulfilling experience for the fathers, students, teachers and our volunteer scouts from Swiss Cottage Secondary School!
