Eden School participated in a series of events during World Autism Awareness Week from 2nd to 8th April 2013, in support of raising autism awareness and advocating for the autism community.
We started the week with "Light It Blue" campaign on 2nd April, whereby the school took on a blue hue, and shimmered in blue nightly, from 7 pm to 7 am until 8th April.
Our students and staff next set up a booth at Pathlight School on 6th April during the World Autism Seminar Workshop, selling Verrines in customized boxes, raising funds and awareness at the same time.
The week-long event culminated on Sunday, 7th April as our parents, students and staff woke up early and took to Bishan Park for Project Yellow Feet. A record was made under the Singapore Book of Records for the longest human chain walk for Autism that morning. Everyone was in high spirits and cheers reverberated throughout the Bishan and Ang Mo Kio neighbourhoods.
A BIG THANK YOU to all who have helped, participated, cheered, and joined in the celebration, in one ways or another, during this meaningful week, all for the cause of raising autism awareness. See you again next year!
